Gaming is a big part of PlayCookLearn.blog, and not just as a hobby, but as an integral part of my everyday life, and therefore also of the blog. While others might meditate or jog in the evenings, I sit there with a controller in hand, trying to fight my way through boss fights, quests, or chaotic multiplayer rounds. And of course, this often doesn't remain a solo event in our home. So, for us, gaming is less of a quiet hobby and more of a family event. And then there's my mother. She doesn't always understand what's happening on the screen, but she still has an opinion. I share games that excite me, moments that frustrate me, and little anecdotes. For me, gaming is not just entertainment; it's a piece of home, a place to switch off, a space for creativity, and sometimes a good counterbalance. And that's exactly why it gets its own space on PlayCookLearn.blog: honest, humorous, personal, and always with a touch of family madness.

Gaming is an essential part of my life, like cake is to coffee. And that's why it gets PlayCookLearn.blog his very own place. In the coming weeks and months, there will be significantly more game posts here. This section won't simply be a collection of reviews or dry game analyses. It will be a personal space where I show how gaming fits into my daily life, inspires me, challenges me, and sometimes even saves me when the day has been too much. My future game posts will be about more than just „I like it“ or „I don't like it.“.
I want to talk about how games feel, how they grab me, how they make me laugh, or how they drive me to the brink of madness.
I want to show why gaming is a place for me to switch off, get creative, discover new worlds, and sometimes just find a bit of peace. What is gaming to me?
Gaming has been a part of my life since I was 14. Back then, it wasn't just a hobby, but a small lifeline that showed me that even in difficult times, you can find a place somewhere to catch your breath. While others were out and about, I often sat with headphones on, diving into worlds that were bigger, more colorful, and somehow easier than anything happening around me. And then came the Let's Players. Gronkh, PietSmiet, and many others whom I still incredibly appreciate today. They made me laugh when I didn't feel like it. They distracted me when everything became too much. To this day, I am a big Let's Play enthusiast. I love watching others play, experiencing their reactions, getting lost in stories, or simply having the feeling that there are so many other gamers out there with the same passion as me. This isn't just about games, but about the feeling behind them. About the memories that have shaped me.
To the people whose voices carried me through tough times.
And the joy that gaming brings me to this day, whether I'm playing myself or watching someone else play. Gaming is a part of my history. A part of my identity.
